Hello dear readers!
On the night before Christmas Eve, I wanted to share another one of my favorite things in the world with you. Sunsets. Especially Kansas sunsets. You see, they turn a beautiful shade of violet just before the sun goes down. Its simply beautiful to just slow down and watch a Kansas sunset on the horizon of the Kansas praries.
When I visit my grandparents' farm, I enjoy photographing the lovely sky above. Aside from animal images, I have an abundance of sky photos on my phone. It sends positivity through my veins.
My great grandma's name was Violet and I hear she was a beautiful caring woman. Like me, she loved caring for all kinds of animals and nature. Her first name became my middle name on the day I was born. I absolutely love it.
The color violet has a lot of meaning behind it too. It stands for gentleness, inspiration, wisdom, spirituality, and compassion. These are all qualities I aspire to each day before the sun goes down.
Every day is a fresh day to try again, as my mother usually says. That is something I believe in. I like to concentrate on that concept, attempting to rise higher than the previous day and making that day more positive than the previous one.
Then as the sun goes down, I can take a deep breath and enjoy in the beauty of the day. I can reflect what went right and what i'd like to work on. I'm not perfect by any means but each new day is a chance to try again. I also focus on finding the beauty in each day. This keeps my day positive and energetic towards reaching my goals.
So my encouragement for you today is to watch a Kansas sunset. Think of the beauty in your day and think about how you can make your tommorow better than today.
Have a Merry Christmas Eve and stay "Paw"sitive!
Your friend,
