Good afternoon readers!
Today I am completely humbled by those of you who have reached out and sent support to me during my journey to Miss Kansas Outstanding Teen. You've taken an interest in what i'm doing and have asked how you can lend a hand and help. I would not be standing where I am without the dozens of people who were willing to go the extra distance for my cause. Thank you. I feel so fourtunate to have so many people who love and care about my passions and ambitions for the future. I've been in awe of how many people care and have invested in my mission for helping shelter animals and sanctuaries.
This had me thinking about a topic today that I would love to share. How important are other people to you? Do you go the distance to really listen to them, build strong relationships, and make a difference in their life? How frequently do you consider the value of connections in your life?" Do you consider how positive they are for you to live a happy, joyous, and loving life? Do you think about how they affect your daily life and your life as a whole?
This is something I think about a lot. These kinds of interactions have been shown to me by many of my teachers, mentors, and friends. I look up to them in so many ways. As an empath, I believe that the greatest aspect of being a human being is considering the relevance of others in your life. For a moment, put yourself in their shoes. How do you feel when someone expresses gratitude to you? Doesn't it feel fantastic? Why deny the same sensation to those you care about?
Practice the technique and express gratitude to everyone significant in your life one by one, and watch your life transform into a work of art, full of love and life! It's bound to make your day 100% more positive!
Here I am with Greg the "Hitman" Williams during the 2015 Women's fair. I was starstruck! I loved how he always intentionally listened to me every time we ran into one another. When we spent time together, he would get enthusiastic about what I was excited about talking about, and he never felt rushed or hurried. That spoke volumes to me, especially because he's a local Wichita celebrity! He knew how to make you feel like the most special person in the room and I loved that. Should I become the new Miss Kansas' Outstanding Teen, i'd like to be just like that. A reflection of the positive intentional relationships that have been modeled to me.
Today I was screaming for joy as I looked at my spotfund account with a very generous $40.00 donation from Mr. Greg Williams! It's not the amount that matters to me, its the intentionality from the person who once again is showing he cares. Thank you Greg! You are and will always be my favorite hitman!
Yes, I am so grateful for the relationships I formed as a young girl. I love the sweet messages of friends and family saying, "WOW! You're so grown up! Good job!" I've been beaming from ear to ear these last few days as I've received messages and support for my campaign from all across the country. Friends and acquaintences tell me I've had a positive impact on their lives in some way, that they're proud of me, and that they're now rooting for me to achieve my goals. I'm speechless! Now I want to give that feeling back!
I know that without those positive relationships I would be lost. They are so vital in my life. This recent huge support has made me want to increase my intention for keeping positive relationships around me. I want to be active in my relationships. I want to be curious about those around me and show my intention for caring.
Today I encourage you to make goals towards being intentional too. How can you show someone around you that they are important to you? Create positive relationships and most importantly, spread some "paw"sitivity each day!
Till next time!
Sincerely,
Kayla Lowmiller
